Handmade Soft Pastel Class

Learn how to make your own soft pastels using Gamblin pigments and locally sourced soils gathered here in North Idaho. Tammy will share color mixing tips and simple techniques as you explore how pigments come together to create soft, workable pastels. You’ll leave with beautiful handmade pastels to take home and use in your own artwork.
Palette Knife Painting Class
Fridays, June 5, 12, 19, and 26, 2026 or Saturdays, June 6, 13, 20, and 27, 2026
Grab a palette knife and join us for a fun, experimental painting class focused on botanicals. You’ll create three or four small canvas panel paintings using palette knives only, with reference images and botanical props provided for inspiration. No prior painting experience needed.
"Emotions of Color" Class
Fridays: May 8, 15, 22, and 29 OR Saturdays: May 9, 16, 23, and 30
Explore the symbolism of color in the expressive animal paintings of Franz Marc, who saw animals as more pure and emotionally honest than humans. After learning from his work, you’ll create a bold, colorful animal painting of your own, with Blue Horses or Yellow Cow as inspiration.
Kid’s Art Classes (Recurring)
Fridays (2-p.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
Note: June 9, classes move to Tuesdays from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. for summer
A weekly art class where kids explore different mediums through fun, creative projects. Each session gives young artists a chance to learn new techniques, experiment with materials, and take home artwork they feel proud of. A great option for kids who love making things.
Dynamic Drawing (Recurring Class)
Saturdays (2-p.m. - 4:30 p.m.)
Join a welcoming beginner class where you practice core skills, explore new techniques, and build confidence one drawing at a time.
